LeFlore County commissioners met in a regular business meeting Monday with Chairman Jamie Oliver presiding. Also present were Vice-Chairman Vallard Campbell, Member Josh Blaylock and County Clerk Kelli Ford.

The following action was taken by the board:

  • Chairman Jamie Oliver called meeting to order.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve the minutes of regular meeting held March 31, 2025.  Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve purchase orders as presented. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Monthly Fee Reports as presented and are on file in the office of the County Clerk. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Transfer of Appropriations: None Presented.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve blanket purchase orders as presented and are on file in the office of the County Clerk. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • New Business: None discussed.
  • Contract Labor/ Service Agreements, Annual Contracts. None presented.
  • Burn Ban. Not needed at this time. No discussion.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Treasurers Monthly Report of Officers for the month of March, 2025. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution determining maximum monthly highway expenditures for the month of April, 2025. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve notice to hold a public hearing regarding closing all of Yeller Tan Lane, lying in or adjacent to Section 36, Township 3 North, Range 21 East, LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution for disposing of equipment regarding inventory item number SW-302.025, 2019 Mack truck, purchased August 16, 2019 from Bruckner Truck Sales, for the sum of $185,145.00 from the Solid Waste Department. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to award bid regarding the purchase of a service/ mechanic truck to benefit LeFlore County Commissioner Highway District 3 to G.T. Motors in the amount of $50,000.00. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve Resolution establishing a Safety Incentive Program Policy for LeFlore County Full- Time Employees, excluding Elected Officials. Motion was approved, all voting yes.                                    
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to approve Resolution establishing an Employee Recognition Program Policy for LeFlore County Full- Time Employees, excluding Elected Officials. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to approve contract between Oklahoma Department of Transportation and LeFlore County Board of County Commissioners to provide County Jail inmates for work on the State Highway System in LeFlore County as ordered by the Department of Transportation, in accordance with 69 O.S. Sec. 613. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Josh Blaylock to acknowledge transfer of County property regarding inventory item DC-331.001, 2004 Ford Crown Victoria, transferred to Heavener Police Department on April 12, 2021. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
  • Motion was made by Jamie Oliver and seconded by Vallard Campbell to forward Tort Claim as submitted by Cole Thompson to LeFlore County Insurance provider ACCO. Motion was approved, all voting yes.
