⚠️ Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect until 11 a.m. today for all of eastern Oklahoma, including LeFlore County. Damaging wind gusts up to 75 mph, large hail up to 1 inch in diameter, and a couple of tornadoes are possible through mid-morning. Residents should monitor conditions closely and have a way to receive warnings.
Strong to severe thunderstorms are ongoing Monday morning, especially across southeastern Oklahoma. While storms should generally weaken and decrease into the early afternoon, additional thunderstorms are forecast to impact the area by late evening and overnight. Large hail, damaging wind gusts, and heavy rainfall and flash flooding will continue to be the main hazards.
Today (Monday): Heavy rain ongoing early with an 87 percent chance of precipitation through the day. High near 85. Severe weather possible through mid-morning; additional storms possible late evening and overnight. Do not drive through flooded roadways.
Tuesday: Strong to severe thunderstorms may be ongoing Tuesday morning, mainly across southeastern Oklahoma. Additional severe weather will be possible mainly late Tuesday evening and overnight. Rain chance 75 percent. High near 77.
Wednesday: Rain chances ease to 45 percent with a high near 76 — the coolest day of the stretch.
Thursday: Mostly dry with only a 20 percent rain chance. High near 89 as conditions begin to improve heading into the weekend.
