Betty was born Oct. 6, 1950, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Flossie Lee (Bartlett) Patterson and Buford Clay Patterson and passed away May 9, 2025, in Spiro.
On March 11, 1966, she married the love of her life, Robert Pennington, in Hugo. They shared many years together until his passing on July 21, 2018.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; her sons, Mitchell and Mac; her brothers, Lloyd Ray and Charles; and her sister, Christine.
She loved traveling the road with her husband and found joy in the simple pleasures of life—spending time with her grandchildren, baking, enjoying visits to the coffee shop, exploring yard sales, and attending church. Betty had a special green thumb and was especially proud of her flourishing elephant ear plants.
She is survived by her daughters Mindy Barnes and husband Allan, Trina Aldrich and Tereasa Hill; her brother, Randal Patterson; 15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Honorary pallbearers are LaHonda Newman, Tereasa Hill, Aubrey Edwards and Bronx Perry.
