LeFlore County commissioners’ agenda May 18, 2026

LeFlore County commissioners will meet in a regular business meeting Monday at 9 a.m. in the office of the Board of County Commissioners at the courthouse in Poteau.

Agenda:

1. Call to order.
2. Minutes of previous meeting(s).
3. Purchase orders/payroll (see attached list to be presented for payment).
4. Monthly fee reports.
5. Transfer of appropriations.
6. Blanket purchase orders.
7. New business.
8. Contract labor/service agreements/annual contracts.
9. Burn ban.
10. Discussion with possible action regarding division of Title I U.S. Forestry funds.
11. Consider and possibly approve bid notice and resolution to accept sealed bids for the purchase of a new truck with trade-in of a 2019 Ford F150 to benefit the LeFlore County Assessors’ Office.
12. Consider and possibly approve bid notice and resolution to advertise for 6-month county highway materials.
13. Consider and possibly approve bid notice and resolution advertising to accept sealed bids for publication of monthly commissioner proceedings and paid claims for fiscal year 2026/2027.
14. Consider and possibly approve resolution to remove Pat Skinner as receiving officer from all Hodgen Fire Department accounts and replace with Ty Pilkington.
15. Consider and possibly approve resolution regarding re-appointment of Henry Burris to the Kibois Community Action Foundation, Inc. board of directors for a three-year term with expiration date of May 18, 2029.
16. Consideration and action upon resolution authorizing and approving the incurring of indebtedness by the trustees of the LeFlore County Public Facilities Authority to be accomplished by the issuance of lease revenue bonds, notes or other evidences of indebtedness in one or more series on a tax-exempt or taxable basis, at a premium or discount, in the aggregate principal par amount of not to exceed eight million, four hundred and no/100 dollars ($8,400,000) to provide funds to complete the acquisition, construction, equipping, renovating, and remodeling of school buildings, acquiring school furniture, fixtures and equipment and acquiring and improving school sites related to Independent School District No. 07 LeFlore County, Oklahoma (“Pocola Public Schools” or the “District”); establish a reserve fund, if any, capitalize interest and pay costs of issuance and all matters related thereto, including but not limited to the waiver of competitive bidding thereof; and declaring an emergency.
17. Consider and possibly approve flood plain development permit application numbers 5182026092 and 5182026093 as submitted by Oklahoma Telephone Company regarding construction within county right of way located on Reichert Summerfield Road, LeFlore County Commissioner District 3, Section 36, Township 5 North, Range 24 East.
18. Consider and possibly approve flood plain development permit application number 5182026094 as submitted by Oklahoma Telephone Company regarding construction within county right of way located on Reichert Summerfield Road, LeFlore County Commissioner District 3, Section 30, Township 5 North, Range 24 East.
19. Consider and possibly approve flood plain development permit application number 5182026095 as submitted by Oklahoma Telephone Company regarding construction within county right of way located on Cline Road, LeFlore County Commissioner District 3, Section 1, Township 1 North, Range 23 East.
