Pocola captures another fast pitch softball tournament championship Thursday, sailing through the county tournament undefeated.

In the finals, Pocola defeated Poteau, 3-0, as the Lady Indians improved to 20-3 while Poteau drops to 16-6.
After being defeated in the winners bracket finals by Pocola, 7-2, Poteau came back through the losers bracket for another shot at the Lady Indians in the championship game.
In the losers bracket earlier in the day, Panama won the opener, 3-2, over Wister before Howe edged the Lady ‘Backs, 6-3, before Poteau advanced to the championship game with a 6-1 win over the Lady Lions, who advanced to the finals.
In the championship game, Poteau actually outhit the Lady Indians, 6-5, but could never get a key hit when it mattered.
Kyleigh Combs went the distance for Pocola, allowing the six hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
The Lady Indians’ offense scored once in the bottom of the third, then added two insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth.
Kaydence Batt was 2-3 with a run scored while Adriana Mills doubled while going 1-3 with two big RBI.
Emma Hackler took the loss for Poteau, going the distance, allowing the five hits and three runs, all earned, with seven strikeouts and six walks.
Kira Reienaman had a big day at the plate for the Lady Pirates, going 3-4, but was the only Poteau player with more than one hit.
