Tammy Darlene Morrison, 66, of Howe was born on Sept. 1, 1959 in Bates, Arkansas to Marlow and Lois (Brown) Sanders and passed away on June 15, 2026 in Howe.

Funeral service to honor Tammy’s life is 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Reverend Charlie Scott officiating.  Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery, under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Tammy was a longtime resident of the area and a CHR Community Health Representative for the Choctaw Nation. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Tammy was very proud of her Choctaw heritage. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors are her companion, Chares Ritchie, of the home; three sons Michael Morrison of Poteau, Justin Morrison of Wister, and John Morrison of Heavener; one daughter, Jennifer Green, of Howe; two sisters Mary Bolin of Greenwood, Arkansas and Bonnie Bolin of Rock Island; four brothers Jerry Sanders of Stilwell, John Sanders of Tulsa, Ricky Sanders of Duncan, and Randy Sanders of Howe; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Marlow and Lois (Brown) Sanders; her husband, Tommy Morrison; one daughter, Penny Lynch; two brothers Scotty and Larry Sanders; one sister, Connie Benson; and a grandson, Kobe Ryburn.

Pallbearers are Dustin Osborne, Zack Osborne, Tyler Morrison, Connor Morrison, Jimmy Dodd, and Michael Hammers.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
