Wister loses

Wister loses the Class A-1 state baseball championship game to Wright City, 6-5, Saturday at Shawnee High School.

The Wildcats built a 4-0 lead after two innings before the Lumberjax took the lead for good with three runs in the top of the fifth inning and holding Wister to one run in the bottom half of the inning.

Neither team scored in the last two innings.

Wister finishes with a 27-4 record while Wright City is 30-3.
