Arkansas sinks Commodores
NASHVILLE, Tennessee–Arkansas sinks Commodores as Trevon Brazile recorded his first double-double of the year (season-high 16 points and season-high14 rebounds) while Johnell Davis added 21 points to lead Arkansas to a 90-77 victory at Vanderbilt Tuesday night in a SEC basketball game at Vanderbilt’s Memorial Gym.
The Razorbacks used a 13Se-0 run late in the first half and opened the second with a 12-5 run, including a 7-0 spurt, and never looked back.
Vandy was down as many as 17 with 12 minutes to go in the second but worked its deficit to nine72-63 with 7:35 left. However, D.J. Wagner drilled a deep 3-pointer as the shot clock expired to put the Hogs back up by double digits. After the Commodores trimmed their deficit back to nine. Brazile answered with a 3-pointer to put the game out of reach.
