Our blast from the past for Oct. 22, 2026 is a picture of the 1995 Heavener football team.
The Wolves finished the regular season 6-4 before losing in the opening round of the state playoffs at top-ranked Vinita, 28-6, in a game that turned into an ice bowl after temperatures plunged during the trip to the game and during the contest.
Vinita later lost to Spiro in the playoffs. If you have an old photograph of Heavener or LeFlore County, email it to news@heavener.news.
