Carl Albert State College cheer team recently competed in the Intermediate All-Girl Junior College Division at the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) Nationals competition.

Judges evaluated routines based on stunts, pyramids, tosses, standing and running tumbling, jumps, collegiate image, routine compositio and overall effect.
The team was also recognized as one of the Top 5 finalists for the Go Be Great Service Award, highlighting their commitment not only to excellence in performance, but also to leadership and service beyond the mat.
The team has been preparing for nationals since November.
Head Coach Tara Foos praised the team’s dedication and growth throughout the season.
“This team has put in an incredible amount of work since November, and it showed on the national stage,” Foos said. “They represented Carl Albert with pride, competed with confidence, and supported each other every step of the way. Being recognized for service speaks to the kind of athletes and people they are.”
