Did you know if a feature we run daily on the history of LeFlore County, its people, places and events.

Cedar Lake was opened for fishing in 1943. Work started in 1935 and utilized many WPS workers from the camp at Stapp-Zoe. There were special rules in place to prevent over-fishing of the new lake. The lake has been renovated several times and hold a state record for largemouth bass at over 14 pounds.
