Today’s Blast from the Past takes us back to Heavener sometime after 1910, when local farmers hauled their cotton harvest through the heart of downtown. The historic Bliss Building stands in the background of the photo, a familiar Heavener landmark from the era. Also visible is the old R.L. Walker building, once located on the corner of East First Street and East Avenue D — a structure that no longer stands today.
