Did you know for 6-23-2026 is a feature we run daily on a subject from the history of LeFlore County.
The shopping cart, which was an Oklahoma invention of 1934, first came to Heavener in April of 1943 when Henry Moore opened a new grocery store, curremtly used by the Altar Church. This was the first attempt of a Heavener merchant to introduce self-service shopping.
