Donald “Little Donnie” Underwood obituary

Donald “Little Donnie” Underwood of Heavener was born Nov. 30, 1974 in Poteau to Donald Ray and Helen (Tolleson) Underwood and passed away on April 29, 2026 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 51.

A memorial service to celebrate Little Donnie’s life is 4 p.m., Saturday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Reverend Don Benefield officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Little Donnie was a life-long resident of the area and a 1994 graduate of Heavener High School. He worked as a panel operator for Bachoco. Little Donnie loved his family. He was a hard worker, who also enjoyed hunting, fishing and just piddling. Little Donnie was always there for his “children” when in need and sharing his trades and knowledge. He will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his wife, Devin Morrison, of the home; his Mama-in-law, Eva Tolleson, of Heavener; three daughters Neeka Walters and fiancé Jesse Davis of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Mina Butterfield and fiancé Katie Robertson of Poteau, and Alyssa Underwood of the home; two sisters Cassandra Morrison of Chicago, Illinois, and Jolene Braziel and Billy Yother of Heavener; three brothers David Ray Underwood and wife Ami of Florida, Jason Adkins and wife Laura of Heavener, and Mikie Forehand of Heavener; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and a host of many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Donald Ray Underwood and Helen Jane Foster; brother, Billy Joe Underwood; and his grandparents.
