Euphia Gay Johnson memorial

Euphia Gay Johnson, 91, of Poteau, passed away June 3, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

A memorial service is at 11 a.m. Monday at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, with Phil McGehee officiating. Visitation is from 5 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Survivors include her daughter, Tamara Statham of Poteau; granddaughter, Jana Shults of Fayetteville, Arkansas; great-granddaughters Rosemary and Gillian; and many cherished friends and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Guy King, and her husband, Glenn Johnson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Poteau Humane Society.
