It is going to be another scorcher Monday with a high of 102 degrees, a low of 73 and only a slight chance of rain as we prepare to leave August and move into September.
Average temperatures for Aug. 31 are a high of 89 and low of 62. If we do reach 102 degrees today, that will tie the record high for the date set in 1983. The record low was 52 in 1986.
Sunday’s high was 103 with a low of 72. No rain was recorded, leaving the monthly total at 1.91 inches, well short of August’s average rainfall of 3.10 inches.
