Heavener girls moved into third place in District 3A-6 with a 3-1 win over Roland Tuesday.
The win also completed a sweep of the two games between the two teams as Heavener won the previous game, 8-7, in extra innings on Aug. 11.
The Lady Wolves improve to 13-5 overall and 6-4 in district play while Roland drops to 10-8 and 3-4. Heavener hosts Idabel at 4:30 p.m. Thursday in a non-district game.
Kristy Shadwick went the distance to get the win for Heavener. She allowed only six hits and one run with 10 strikeouts and eight walks.
Kaitlin Hurst was 2-3 with two runs scored, Ember Stacy went 2-3 with a run scored while Anistyn Cartwright doubled while going 1-3 with two RBIs.
