Obituary for Randy Allen Frizzell

Randy Allen Frizzell of Clayton (formerly of Heavener) was born Dec. 3, 1965 in Poteau to Johnny Lee and Linda Sue (Mead) Frizzell and passed away on Sept. 7, 2026 surrounded by family at his home in Clayton at the age of 60. 

Funeral service is 10 a.m. Friday at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener with Denton Mead officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavener Memorial Park, under the care and direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Randy, a cherished member of the community for many years, passed away leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. A proud graduate of Heavener High School, class of 1984, he devoted his career to the KCS Railroad as an engineer until his retirement.

Randy married the love of his life, Crystal on Dec. 10, 2005. Randy was a family man at heart, finding joy in spending time with his loved ones and tending to his cattle. His grandchildren adored him and affectionately called him “Bull.” Randy cherished the great outdoors, relishing moments watching hummingbirds and enjoying the companionship of his beloved dog, Murphy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors are his wife of 22 years, Crystal Frizzell, of the home; his mother, Linda Frizzell, of Hodgen; two daughters Chelsi White of Clayton, and Lindsi Victor and husband Tab of Raeford, North Carolina; two sons Stance Frizzell and Brody Frizzell, both of Clayton; four grandchildren Tynli Bradley, Jenson Bradley, Myli Bradley and Daysi Victor; one brother, Bradley Frizzell, of Hodgen; two nieces Cheyenne Kelly and husband Kip of Hodgen, and Ashley Dehart and husband James of the Hontubby community; one nephew Chanse Frizzell and wife Braya of Poteau; his great-nieces and great nephews Layton Kelly, Betsy Kelly, Kaden Sisco, Koldyn Sisco, Kaleb Sisco, Weston Frizzell and Collin Frizzell; his dog, Murphy; numerous other loved ones and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Johnny Frizzell; his maternal grandparents Verlan and Jack Mead; and his paternal grandparents, Dorothy and L.G. Frizzell.

Pallbearers are Stance Frizzell, Brody Frizzell, Justin Frizzell, Heath Murray, Shannon Ward, Dewayne Davis, Kevin Wiles and Mike Staley. Honorary pallbearers are Donnie Mead, Gary Mead, James Boggs, Gerald Gillum, Weston Roberts, Randall Erwin, Vernon Scarberry and Jeff Gregg.

Viewing is from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., Thursday. The family will be visiting with the friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
