Heavener’s Jerami Casteel does it again at state

Heavener’s Jerami Casteel completed the sweep in throwing events at the Class 3A state track meet Saturday, winning the shot put after winning the discus one day earlier.

Casteel won the shot Saturday with a throw of 49-06,50 to finish first in the state in the shot put after winning the state discus championship on Friday for the second straight year.

Casteel was named to the all-state football game, the first for Heavener in over 50 years, and signed to play football at Southeast Missouri State University in the fall.
