Howe Public School will be closed Monday after the district was made aware of an unsubstantiated threat involving the school, according to a statement from school administration.
School officials said they are working closely with law enforcement, and the matter remains under investigation. Administrators said there is currently no information indicating an immediate or credible threat to campus, but the district is canceling classes as a precaution while the investigation continues.
A decision on after-school activities and athletic events will be made Monday, and families will be notified once that determination is made.
