Jerry Daryl Angel services planned

Jerry Daryl Angel, 87, of Poteau passed away on April 28, 2026, in Poteau.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. on Friday at Evans Chapel in Poteau with Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.

He was born on Dec. 21, 1938, in Oologah to Myrtle (Wilson) Angel and John Angel.

Survivors are his wife, Gloria “Penny” Angel, of the home; his son, Kirk Angel; his daughter, Kristy Meeks, of Wister; granddaughters Kayla Angel (Jon Casity), Emily Morrison (Nate Morrison), and Karagin Angel; and his great-grandchildren Maverick Angel, Jace Sweeten, Lucas Morrison, and Jakson Morrison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Myrtle Angel; and his siblings Mary Jon Machart and Judy Ann Lee.
