Strong thunderstorms are expected to impact LeFlore County and surrounding areas of eastern Oklahoma on Tuesday. The storms may produce large hail and damaging winds. Residents are urged to stay weather aware throughout the day.

Tuesday’s high temperature is forecast to reach 76 degrees with an overnight low of 54 degrees. Sunrise was at 6:31 a.m. with sunset at 8:01 p.m.

Monday’s high reached 90 degrees with a low of 67 degrees. No rainfall was recorded Monday, leaving the April monthly total at 7.90 inches — well above the April average of 4.90 inches for LeFlore County.

Average temperatures for April 28 in LeFlore County are a high of 77 and a low of 50 degrees. Record high for the date was 91 degrees set in 1987. The record low was 34 degrees set in 1973.
