Summer’s settling in across LeFlore County. We’re starting off sunny and warm, with temperatures already in the low 80s and highs today climbing into the mid-90s. Expect more of the same Monday — hot and mostly dry, topping out around 95, with only a slim chance of a passing shower.
The pattern shifts midweek. Tuesday gives us our best rain chance of the stretch — around 40% — along with slightly cooler highs near 89. Wednesday dries back out and drops into the mid-80s, and Thursday holds steady in the low 80s.
Bottom line for Poteau, Heavener and the rest of the county: hot and dry to kick off the week, a decent shot at storms Tuesday, then a comfortable cooldown into the mid-80s by week’s end. Keep the sunscreen handy early and an umbrella close by Tuesday.
