LeFlore County will have another hot day Tuesday as there is a heat advisory from noon to 8 p.m., after we had cooler temperatures and rain on Monday.
Tuesday’s high is forecast to hit 102 with only a slight chance of rain.
Average temperatures for Aug. 25 are a high of 91 and low of 63. Records are a high of 105 in 1978 and low of 54 in 1970.
Monday’s high was 85 with a low of 74. A total of .08 inches of rain was recorded, increasing the monthly total to 0.33 inches. Average rainfall for August is 3.10 inches, so we still have a ways to go.
