Leisa Ann Massey, 61, of Howe was born May 20, 1963 in Poteau to Enoch Leeroy “Lee” and Willa Mae (Chronister) Pierce and passed away March 10, 2025 in Pocola.

Funeral service is 2 p.m. Thursday at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, with Brother Joe Haydon Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in the Glendale community under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener.

Leisa was a longtime resident of the area and a caregiver in healthcare. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her children, especially her grandchildren. Leisa loved caring for others. She thoroughly enjoyed singing, crafting, decorating, and family gatherings. Leisa will be deeply missed by so many.

Survivors are one daughter, Tabbatha Morrison, of Howe; two sons Jessie Gentry and wife Lindsey of Howe, and Haydon Massey and wife Morgan of Saraland, Alabama; two step-sons Joshua Massey and Justin Massey; two step-daughters Satin Myers and Staci Judd; one brother

Leslie Pierce and wife Sonya of Howe; nine grandchildren Kailyn Morrison, Aaron Morrison, Justice Gentry, Jesse Gentry, Jacee Gentry, Caylee Mae Massey, Alexxa Lasota, Brelann Lasota and Caddynce Lasota; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other loved ones, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Lee and Willa Mae Pierce; her husband, Kenneth “Dave” Massey; two sisters Willa Lou Jetton and Ellen Guilbeaux; and one brother, Paul W. Pierce.

The family wants to give a special thanks to the Pocola Health and Rehab and the Heart of Hospice for the wonderful care that was shown to Leisa. We cannot thank you all enough.

Pallbearers are Preston Mattox, Dustin Morrison, Tyler Broussard, Tyler Newby, Ethan Williams and Jake Haynes.

Honorary pallbearers are Bradley Guilbeaux, Steven Guilbeaux, Matthew Pierce, Aaron Morrison and Jessie Gentry, Jr.

Viewing is from noon until 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Thursday. The family will visit with friends from 6. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
