Record highs expected again in the weather forecast for Heavener and LeFlore County for Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026.

Looks like it will be another hot one today with a high of 103 forecast, along with a heat advisory from noon until 7 p.m.  If we do reach today’s forecast high, it will again break the previous high for Sept. 9 of 98 degrees, set in 1972. Today’s low is expected to be only 75. The record low is 46 degrees, set in 1981.

Average temperatures for Sept. 9 are a high of 87 and low of 60, so we are blowing those away.

No rain was recorded Tuesday, leaving the rainfall for September at .02 inches. Average rainfall for September is 5.30 inches, so we are well short of the average.

Tuesday’s high was a blistering 105 with a low of 78.

Stay cool and hydrates. Remember to check on elderly relative and neighbors.
