Roy E. “Sonny” Tackett, 82, of Milton passed away on April 10, 2026 in Glenpool.

He attended Bokoshe Methodist Church and was a proud graduate of Bokoshe High School.
A memorial service is at a later date at Bokoshe Methodist Church, Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
Survivors are his son Kevin Tackett and wife Angie of Edmond; daughters Kim Rayon of Bixby, and Theresa Drennon of Bixby; grandchildren Terra Murphy, Ashley Morris and husband Reno, Kenzie Tackett, Brianne’ Shelton and husband Skyler, Ethan Rayon, Cody Rayon and wife Dani; great grandchildren Phoenix, Ryder, Talon, Zion Murphy and Te’a Lou Shelton, along with other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Matha Tackett; two sisters; and two brothers.
