Unemployment rates climbed year-over-year in all 77 Oklahoma counties in June, according to state labor data. Hughes County posted the state’s highest county unemployment rate at 7.1 percent, followed by Love County with the second-highest rate for the month. Dewey County reported the lowest rate in the state at 2.8 percent, according to the latest report from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission.

LeFlore County’s rate for the month was 5.2 percent, compared with 4.3 percent a year earlier. The county posted a rate of 5.0 percent in May and 4.2 percent in April.
LeFlore County’s workforce totaled 19,562 in June, with 18,542 people employed and 1,020 out of work. In May, the workforce was 19,707, with 18,715 employed and 992 unemployed.
