Unsettled, near-seasonal weather settles over LeFlore County this week, with rounds of showers and storms working in between stretches of sun.
Tuesday turns warm and a touch muggy, with a high near 88 and about a 50% chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms across the Poteau and Heavener areas. Skies stay partly cloudy overnight, with readings holding in the lower 70s.
Wednesday dries out and brightens, climbing to near 87 under mostly sunny skies with only a slight, 10% rain chance.
Thursday cools slightly to a high near 82, with clouds building back in and roughly a 35% chance of showers.
Friday rounds out the week near 84 with partly sunny skies and a 25% chance of a passing shower.
Motorists and outdoor crews should keep an eye to the sky midweek, as storm chances are highest Tuesday afternoon.
