Heat stays on for Wednesday in Heavener and LeFlore County as another record-high could be shattered.

We should have partly cloudy skies with a high of 93 degrees, breaking the previous record of 91 set in 1979. Wednesday’s low is forecast to be 73. The record low for the date was a chilly 33 back in 1984.

Average temperatures for Sept. 30 are a high of 80 and a low of 52, so we are once again well above those temperatures.

Tuesday’s high was 95, breaking the previous record for the date of 91 set in 1977. The low was 72.

No rain was recorded, leaving the monthly total at 1.52, well below the average rainfall of 5.30 inches for September.
