Poteau High School has hired former Spiro standout and college basketball player Tylor Perry as the new boys basketball coach, succeeding Ronnie Sockey.

He played high school in Springdale, Arkansaa before transferring to Spiro, where he led the Bulldogs to the Class 3A state tournament.
Poteau’s boys were 10-17 this year, finishing third in the LeFlore County Tournament, despite playing a difficult schedule including Roland, Muldrow and Stilwell.
