Heavener senior Jaren Pickle finished sixth in the Class 3A golf regional tournament at Arrowhead Golf Course.

Pickle shot 78-79 to qualify for the state 3A golf tournament Monday at Shanri-La golf course in Grove. He also qualified as a sophomore and junior after missing out on a trip his freshman year by one stroke.

Pickle has finished in the top three at tournaments seven times this year to go along with finishing sixth at Wednesday’s regional against the top golfers in the eastern half of the state.

Heavener’s Jonah Scroggins also competed in the regionals Wednesday, shooting 91-91 to finish in 26th place.
