Saturday: High near 100, low around 76. Chance of rain is 15 percent.
Sunday: High near 103, low around 78. Chance of rain is 15 percent.
Monday: High near 100, low around 77. Chance of rain is 15 percent.
Tuesday: High near 106, low around 77. Chance of rain is 15 percent.
Wednesday: High near 108, low around 81. Chance of rain is 15 percent.
Temperatures ease slightly heading into the weekend, with highs dropping into the mid-90s and a better rain chance arriving Thursday.
Friday’s high was 103 with a low of 74. No rain was recorded, leaving the monthly total at .19. Average rainfall for August is 3.10 inches.
Averages for Aug. 15 are a high of 93 and a low of 64. Records are a high of 102 in 2000 with a low of 53 in 1984.
Residents are urged to take precautions during the advisory period. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned space when possible, and limit outdoor activities to early morning or evening hours. Never leave children or pets in a parked vehicle, and check on elderly neighbors and relatives.
